My Personalized Home Workout Session

I wasn't sure how yesterday would go but I wanted to make sure that I got a good effective workout in no matter what so I asked Adam to put together a work out I could do on my own with minimal equipment wherever I got the chance to do so. He put together an awesome work out that targeted muscle areas I had not worked out in a while. It felt great. This was the equipment I used:  Sliders / 70lb and 30lb Resistance Bands / 7lb Dumbbells Here's how it went:  Zen Stretch 4 minutes 10 Squats /10 Jump Squats Plank 30 seconds x 2 Shadow box holding 7lb dumbbells 'till failure Shoulder press holding 7lb dumbbells 15 reps Alternating Leg Out steps with sliders 15 reps Alternating Frontward step squat with sliders  15 reps (This set repeated 3 times) Resistance bands: Overhead Pullback 15 reps Chest Pullback 15 reps Lower pullback 15 reps (This set repeated 3 times) 100 crunches I really felt my muscles properly engaged and exhausted. 40 days of Positive Perspective

I was reminded yesterday that today would be Ash Wednesday. To be honest with you, I truly have not fully participated in the observance of Ash Wednesday or Lent since I was about 19. Raised in a very Catholic household, I gauge this to be pretty bad. It got me thinking about how I would approach it this time around. Beginning to focus on the true reason for which we even have this tradition; I realized I wanted to use this time to reflect, regroup, recharge and mainly APPRECIATE what I have. The 40 days of lent are a representation of the sacrifices made by Jesus Christ, along with his death and resurrection. Its supposed help us understand and appreciate what we have. I imagined my self in the desert for 40 days with no food and i thought... "WOW, I probably wouldn't survive long". I'm thankful that I've never had to sacrifice in that manner and it made me want to take the time to appreciate more of what I have, simply based on the sheer thought that someday I
