Close To My Heart- Greeting Cards with Have a Happy Day/Everyday Life
Super Duper EXCITED to share my first cards with Close to my Heart products. I recently became a creative consultant with them and as stated previously, I'm Super Excited!! :)
Starting out as a consultant they put together a package with some of their products. They have GRRR-8 stuff. Stamp sets, ink pads, patterned paper, etc etc. Everything you would need to get started with scrapbooking or card making for the holidays and special occasions. You can check everything out on my Close to My Heart Site.
When I first started scrapbooking at 13, this was how I got hooked. I went to a scrapbooking event where my sisters friends and co-workers got together to scrapbook. She thought I would be interested so she brought me along. HOOKED, immediately. I loved it. The idea of using awesome art supplies and spending time preserving memories with cool ladies was a blast.
My next venture was card making, that's when my obsession with rubber stamps started. I made some Christmas cards with my sisters co-worker using pretty stamps, thick paper and lots of glitter. Since then I've just kinda always had it as a hobby of mine. I love the idea of receiving cards for any occasion. Its a small gesture that can mean so much. I'm sure a lot of you can relate to that. Alright maybe just the girls, but that's why you guys need to know whats up.
Very soon I will be organizing a few craft days with specific projects relating to the upcoming holiday's (Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year). I'll decide on a project; maybe ask for suggestions and plan a day of crafting, eating, and chatting. Once I have the date finalized I'll let ya'll know.
In the mean time I would like to share 4 cards that I made using one of the stamp sets that Close to my Heart offers. These Cards were made using The My Acrylix premium quality decorative stamp set: Have a Happy Day / Everyday Life. I like how versatile this set is. You can use the heck out of it!! Very handy. The sentiments and are simple and easy to use. Perfect for cardmaking.
Ok, ok, ok... so here are my cards.

Ok, ok, ok... so here are my cards.
Just Because
I started this card with a Shimmer white colored cardstock base. The roses were stamped using the exclusive water based dye ink in the color Thistle along with the leaves of the roses stamped using the color Pear. The "Just Because" Sentiment was stamped in the color Slate. I added silver sequins to the center of each rose and then tied a strip of diagonal stripped ribbon in the color Thistle. The Shimmer cardstock added alot of personality and pazazz. It was a very simple and fast card to make.
Hello
I began this card with a kraft colored cardstock base. The background is the circle stamp from the stamp set, stamped consecutively using Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Towards the bottom of the card I added gold poka dot washi tape, Shimmer trim in Gold and stamped the Hello sentiment to the center of a piece of kraft cardstock. The Flowers coming out from the center of the sentiment are stamped using embossing powder. Lastly, I added gold sequins for a bit of sparkle.
Thank you
The base of this card is also a kraft colored cardstock base with white a zig zag pattern. The individual zig zag clear strip stamp included in the stamp set was just heat embossed with white embossing powder over and over again. The arrows are stamped using the water based ink in the color Slate. The Center arrow is stamped using the Thistle colored ink. The thank you sentiment was stamped using Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. All pieces were added to the card using 3D Foam Tape. The finishing touch was a few silver sequins around the sentiment.
Just be you
The last card was also made with kraft colored cardstock as the base (You guessed it, this girl digs kraft). I stamped the tiny flowers all over the card and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I stamped the same flowers using the water based ink in the color Lagoon continuing on to cut them out individually and adhere them using 3D Foam tape. To the center of those flowers I added silver sequins. The strip towards the center is Shimmer trim in the color Teal. I stamped the sentiment "Just Be You" and mounted it on using 3D foam tape and added a tiny metal triangle studs to seal the deal.
