Wood Truck Craft

Image
Wandering around dollar tree a few weeks ago I found these really cute wood projects that caught my attention as something kids of several different ages could do. I didnt take a picture of the one I did today with Marxcelo but here is a picture of the packaging with examples of a few of the other projects they have available. The truck was easy to put together. The directions were simple enough and all you needed was wood glue. Once you let it sit for a while in  order to dry you can decorate it any way you like. The key is to let it SIT AND DRY; no matter how impatient you guys are. Marxcelo went at it with watercolors first and then markers. Turned out pretty cool. Next time your at Doller King, Dollar Tree, or the 99 cent store and you come across some cool craft projects, try them out. Kids love them and they usually dont require too many more supplies or materials. Have a Crafty Day! -Vee

Popsicle Stick Photo Frames

Image
I had the best time hanging out with Naya and Noah yesterday making popsicle stick frames.  I just so happen to have my Instax camera on hand so we decide to have a bit of a photo shoot after their lunch. One we were done wainting FOREVER for the pictures to develop ;) we decided to get crafting. We choose the popsicle sticks we wanted to use without exactly having an a true intention of how things would turn out other than making some sort of picture frame. Below is the list of materials we had on hand to use. Materials  Popsicle sticks + Wood Glue + Yarn+ Cardstock Paper + Scissors+ Watercolors/Crayons  We started out with painting and coloring our popsicle sticks. Some of use used thin ones and some used the tick ones; both look great but the thicker ones are a little easier to hold on to while they paint or color them.  Using either watercolors or crayons works out well; it really is just dependent on your preference.  After coloring the

11 Day Diet

Image
Years ago I tried this diet called the 11 day diet and I was super pleased with the results. The first time I did it I lost a total of 8lbs in the span of 11 day along with exercise. The second time around I lost another 9 lbs. It was such a great tool at helping me understand how to split up my meals throughout the day, as well as better understanding "eating till I'm satisfied"; choosing more nutritious options that are still easy to prepare. It broke it down for me for the first time in an easy step by step way that I knew was effective.  This diet is really easy to follow and contains very basic food options that makes it very affordable and realistic to follow. It also helps with guiding you to better understand your proper eating habits making sure you are eating enough and not depriving yourself so that you have the proper fuel you need for your day and your workouts.  I am planning on starting it up again this month and I need some ACCOUNTABILITY to h

For today's #ohsopinteresting idea I chose a project that would allow me to use some of the cool scraps left over from other projects this week. I used a circle punch along with left over patterned paper to create a cool effect to the card. Circle Punch Scrap Card View the Original Pin Here Below is my interpretation of the above project. it was pretty fun and not as time consuming as I  first thought it would be. I used paper I had already and a circle punch to create the uniformed circle shape. I hand wrote the sentiment and the felt flower is from a Martha Stewart flower pack that I got on clearance at Dollar King.  This is the circle punch I used to create all the circles  I added double sided adhesive to adhere them down. Here is my finished card.  Love all this paper so happy I got to use it again.

Today's Pinteresting Project is probably the fastest project I have ever done as well as the cheapest (You know i like that!). The Army Men + Packet of Magnets were a $1 each. The glue gun I had on deck. I didnt even have to change the glue stick I had in there. This is a super cool idea for your fridge or workspace.  Let me know if you try it out or if you use other figures as magnets. Use #ohsopinteresting so that I can see your creations and tag me on your post.  Army Men Magnets View Original Pin Here Below is my interpretation of the Project. The Color of my Army guys is a little darker than the originals and the positions they're in are a little different but I dont mind at all. I love how fun they make whatever you put on the fridge. Yay! Materials I Used:  Green Army Men Circle Magnets Glue Gun + Glue Stick The Packet of army guys I got came with about 30 of these guys. The Packet I got of these magnets came with about 20 mag
