Boo! HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

Image
Hello there, everyone!!    Here is a card I created using the sketch provided by The Retro Sketches Challenge. I decided on a Halloween themed card since we're over here trying to get in the spirit of things. Here is their sketch.   Retro Sketch Challenge #236     Here is my card. Don't you just love the color combinations?!?!     The background is two different card stock paper; one of them is a cool mustard-y yellow and the other a neat subtle grey stripe pattern. I used some holographic embossing powder to heat emboss some skulls on the purple and black strip pattern paper. Its kind of hard to see the detail in that but I like the little bit of sparkle it adds to the sentiment.   For the sentiment I used white heat embossing powder to stamp Happy Halloween along with the little spider web. Before putting together all of the elements to the card, I sprayed the background with purple ink. I really dig the paint splatter effect. I followed that

6 Week - SHAPE UP SLIM DOWN SQUAD July 1- August 12th Hey Guys, Recently, I've been having such a great time pretty much eating whatever I want. I haven't really been restricting myself with food, as well as not going as hard with my workouts as I used to a few months back. It's been fun but as a result I have gained a few extra pounds. Well, keeping it real.. 12 lbs. Yikes! Although my body type helps disguise it I can definitely feel and see the difference. With that said I've decided to get my self back on track in time for my 30th birthday(Almost Exactly 6 weeks away).  Click here to read about how I started my weight loss journey  When I started over 5 years ago the thing that motivated me the most was that I had the opportunity to do it as a group. It was co-workers of mine that were cool enough to be supportive and help motivate each other to challenge ourselves. It didn't hurt that there was a cash prize from our boss but that's neither her nor

Watercolors, Dude!

I drew up this card a few days ago and made it with Minimal Supplies. *Water Color Paper * Watercolors / Watercolor brush *Black Pen *Pencil The surf board and the radio are hand drawn and hand painted with water colors. I used watercolors for the background as well and added little splashes of browns and oranges to the sand to make it look a bit more realistic. Super fun card to make and I'm sure anyone receiving it would agree... It's pretty Gnarly! ;)  The inside is pretty simple i just added a strip of water color paper i painted with different blends of yellows and oranges with a cute little sticker that says, " LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL". Hope ya'll dig it. Peace Out. -V

At the beginning of the actual trail.  Hello Everyone! It's been a while since I've written a blog post, but I have been meaning to share more about what I've got going on in terms of fitness and crafting.  I've got some cool new things that I'm planning on discussing in both realms and I'm really looking forward to sharing that with all of ya'll SOON!  Being active and trying to stay physically fit doesn't have to be a pain or a drag. You can make it as fun as you want to. You have the right to explore new things, get out of your comfort zone, and just  act like a kid again. This will help you integrate a new healthy outlook on physical activity and help guide you towards understanding the things that truly make you happy and will keep you motivated with your future fitness goals. Just Have Fun.  One of my favorite outdoor activities is HIKING. Whether you go alone, with one other person or in a group... its always fun. Their are al
