I love you because…

Image
I created a cute dry-erase board out of this hexagon shaped frame.  This is the patterned paper I chose to use as my background.  Below are the scrabble pieces I chose in order to spell out the words, I love you because… Below are the guts of the frame. I gutted it.  I used the inside cardboard as a template to cut the patterned paper down to the proper size.  Here it is… all cut up.  Then put all together again.  Perfect fit! Super cute.  Gorilla glue worked beautifully. Just let it dry for a couple hours.  Grab your dry erase marker and doodle your little vulnerable heart away.  I hope this little craft inspires you to try this or something else you’ve been wanting to try today!  Get crafty with it ya’ll!  Love,  Vee

YUMMY … Vanilla dipped strawberries (you don’t have to feel bad about).

Tonight’s dessert.  Easiest dessert ever! It’s low carb so it’s guilt free too. You can choose to just dip the strawberries the way they are or you can add stick to help with the dipping process.  I used the microwave to melt the chocolate and then poured it into a cup to make it easier for dipping. You can choose the chocolate of your preference and follow the directions on the packaging.  You can leave them plain or add sprinkles that you may have on hand.  Either way, it’s alllllll good.  Place them sit in the fridge and cool for about 10 minutes.  Try it out on your own and then with some kids you actually like. ;)  Share if you wish.  Enjoy.

Word.

This was today’s positive reminder for today. The physical action of writing and reciting things like this help me keep a more natural continuous positive perspective on a daily bases. A therapeutic process for myself as much as I can.  Try it when you can.

DIY Dry Erase Board

Image
RANDOM #59  DIY Dry Erase Board  Here is how I went about it.  I got this simple frame at the dollar tree.  Spray painted it navy blue and let it dry. I used a sheet of gold cardstock and cut it down to size.  I used this rope as an accent around the frame.  I dig the combination of the blue with the rope.  Last minute I found some leather lace and decided to add the at to the inner part of the frame.  The gold paper fit perfectly. "Like a glove!!"  Ready to go! A dry erase board for notes, lists, reminders, or whatever your little heart desires.  I dig the look of it.  Until next time... keep getting crafty with it.

Painted HOLIDAY Wooden Piece

Image
The craft for day 16 was random #14 PAINT HOLIDAY WOOD PIECE.  For this project I decided to paint this cute little wooden ghost that I bought last year and never used.  Here he is all bare and naked. These are the paint colors that I used to paint the ghost and add shadow accents.  I want to personalize the ghost, so I am using this wooden square and watercolor paper to add the details.  The ghost got two coats of white paint to get good coverage.  Here's my little sketch of a whisky glass. Here it is painted with acrylics as well.  This was the funny little saying I wanted to add to him. Gonna place him near our bar area. Cut the glass out the best I could and attached the sign and the glass to the ghost.  I loved the result of this.  He makes me eternally ready for the Boo's!! Until next time... keep getting crafty with it.

DIY Wreath

Image
Random #37 A WREATH!! YAY! I love making wreaths for all kinds of occasions or holidays. It used to be more of a Thanksgiving or Christmas thing, but now there are so many awesome examples of wreaths for all times of the year.  Since we are getting into the Halloween spirit over here I decided to make my wreath a deeper color pallet with purples, blacks and hints of yellow and orange.  Everything I used was purchased at Dollar Tree. The total cost of supplies for both wreaths was about $8  They just look so deathly sophisticated. ;)  I can dig it.  I hope you do too.  Here are few pics of the process.  Dollar Tree FTW!!! Until next time... keep getting crafty with it.

Engraving on Glass

Image
Random #74  I got the opportunity to use my glass engraver this time. It's a bit hard to get use to since it vibrate quite a bit and it will impact the direct result of you handwriting. So its good to practice with it a bit on different thicknesses of glass and to practice your writing or just forming lines and making thing more or less bold.  The glass engraver that I got was purchased at Harbor Freight here is the link (  ELECTRIC ENGRAVER  ) incase you want to order it online otherwise, go to Harbor Freight! ITs a cool place for crafters, builders, & DIYers. The best part its super affordable and will open you mind to trying something out that otherwise might have been to pricey to try out... like this engraver it was only $8 but I feel like I can get a lot of use out of it for future craft and party projects.  Here are a few picture of the machine and the results of what i was practicing with. I had a great time using it and look forward to using it again. Until next time..
